Let’s talk nighttime sparkle. For the
Disneyland After Dark: 70 Years of Favorites event, the featured nighttime parade tied to the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration is
Paint the Night. This modern, high energy parade is packed with more than a million LED lights, bold music, and floats inspired by beloved Disney and Pixar stories. You will spot Sorcerer Mickey waving his glowing wand, see Mack from Cars rolling along in brilliant color, and catch familiar friends like Ariel, Buzz, Woody, Mike, and Sulley lighting up the route. Fun tidbit for your Disney trivia book: Paint the Night first debuted at Disneyland in 2015 for the 60th anniversary, which makes its return during the 70th celebration feel extra full circle.
Now for a little heart moment from me. The Main Street Electrical Parade is my all time favorite Disney parade. Those opening electronic notes instantly transport me back to my childhood, standing on the curb, eyes wide, heart full, and humming along before the first float even rounded the corner. The song that is played is Baroque Hoedown and it is pure Disney magic to me. Disneyland has brought this beloved classic back more than once over the years, and I am ever so hopeful that one day we will all hear those iconic notes again on Main Street, U.S.A. Never say never in a place where dreams really do come true.
Because After Dark events often feature unique entertainment schedules and surprise extras, I always recommend checking the
Disneyland app as your party date gets closer. Open the app, tap Park Hours and Info, and then Entertainment to see exactly what will be lighting up the night during your event. It is the best way to stay in the know on parade times, special offerings, and any magical surprises sprinkled in just for party guests.
