Hi, Natalie!
One of the things I love most about the Walt Disney World Resort is how they make the magic accessible to everyone. I took a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort with my extended family a few years ago, and we had three members of our party who were using
Electric Conveyance Vehicles (ECV). I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was for them to navigate around the resort and theme parks.
I am happy to tell you that most forms of
resort transportation, including the busses at your
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, are accessible to guests using a wheelchair or ECV. Even the
Minnie Van Service, which is available through the Lyft app for a small fee, can provide an accessible vehicle if you call ahead to request one.
The
Disney Skyliner is a gondola system that is expected to begin transporting guests this fall. I contacted
Disability Services and spoke with a Cast Member to inquire about wheelchair and ECV accessibility for the Disney Skyliner. The Cast Member explained to me that they did not have that information at this time. I would recommend that you contact Disability Services closer to your trip to see if it will be possible for you to utilize the Disney Skyliner system. In the meantime, you can follow the
Disney Parks Blog for any new announcements regarding the Disney Skyliner.
Have a magical day!
Samantha
