Hi Shelley,
Thank you so much for visiting planDisney with your question! We on the planDisney panel are happy to answer your
Walt Disney World and other Disney vacation planning questions.
You can absolutely rent an
Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) at Walt Disney World. The website that I just linked provides lots of information, including information on the cost to rent an ECV. Please note that ECVs rented through Walt Disney World cannot be removed from the location at which you rent them, so if you rent one at
EPCOT, it must not leave EPCOT. You can; however, take your receipt to another location at Walt Disney World on the same day and pick up another ECV there, pending availability. If you prefer to have an ECV that you can keep with you throughout your stay, including taking it to your resort hotel, I suggest that you check out ScooterBug, Disney's featured provider. Information about ScooterBug can be found on the ECV webpage that I linked earlier.
We once traveled with someone who had mobility challenges. For our first few days at the theme park, she walked, and by the time we got later in our vacation to our
Disney's Animal Kingdom day, she was exhausted. She decided to rent an ECV that day, and then did so every day after that! It so increased her enjoyment of the theme parks to save herself the walking.
I hope that this information is helpful for you, Shelley! Please feel free to come back to planDisney with any further questions you may have.
