Welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for stopping by with this question about your future Walt Disney World vacation. There are so many things to do in EPCOT - even alone! I’m happy to give you a few ideas. The first thing I want to mention is that Disney has
ECV rentals at all of their theme parks. If the idea of lots of walking is troublesome, give some thought to renting one on your park days. My mom struggles with mobility issues and these rentals are a lifesaver for her when we visit. The next thing I want to offer is the
Sensory Experience Details Guide. This guide tells guests what to expect on every attraction. Knowing your limitations plus what to expect on each attraction (whether it’s bumpy/intense, etc.) will help you make the best choices during your park day.
If you’re into aquatic life, visit World Nature. In that area, you’ll find the
Sea Base Aquarium where you can watch animal care experts feed and train rays, sea turtles and fish. You can also board a “clamobile” and go on an undersea adventure while you check out
The Seas with Nemo & Friends. It’s a classic slow-moving dark ride that takes you through the story of Disney’s Finding Nemo. EPCOT has similar slow-moving dark rides throughout the park that you might be able to enjoy. Another favorite activity of mine when I’m visiting is to check out
Turtle Talk with Crush - you’ll laugh your way through this experience as Crush interacts with the audience live.
Another really cool activity for you to consider during your time at EPCOT is to try to visit as many pavilions around the World Showcase as you can. There are 11 countries represented here, and there’s something new to learn or experience inside each one. Try fun snacks inside the Japan pavilion inside the
Mitsukoshi Department Store, check out
Canada Far and Wide in Circle-Vision 360 inside the Canada pavilion, and stop for fish & chips at the Yorkshire County Fish Shop in the UK pavilion. These suggestions are just the tip of the iceberg, Karen! Download the My Disney Experience app and use the EPCOT map to determine which countries you’ll prioritize during your visit, and whatever you do, make sure your plan includes nachos in the Mexico pavilion. They are delicious!
The last thing I want you to consider is shopping!
Creations Shop in EPCOT has one of the best collections of Disney World merchandise that you’ll find at the resort. It’s huge - you will find so many cool things there to take back home with you. My mom and I love to shop, and this is one of our favorite locations to do it.
