Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Mike!
Thank you for sending us your excellent question about Walt Disney World Resort water parks.
Mike, as a “Pooh-sized” Guest, Walt Disney World Resort attraction weight limits are something I have researched extensively. I hope that with my personal experience and research I can help answer your question!
The
Chairlift at Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park is the only attraction at either of the two water parks with a weight limit. The
gondolas themselves have a weight limit of 375 pounds. The Chairlift transports Guests to a prime position for: Summit Plummet, Slush Gusher and Teamboat Springs. If you or someone in your party is close to the weight limit, you may ride the gondola alone.
Guests will be happy to know that even at the Chairlift gondolas, they will not encounter scales. I had a horrible experience at a water park outside of the Disney Parks. This water park had publicly-placed scales and less-than-magical employees weighing larger guests before they entered attractions. It was mortifying and embarrassing! The Cast Members at Disney water parks are understanding, accommodating and will happily answer any of your questions without ever embarrassing you.
Other than the Chairlift, you will not encounter any other weight limits at Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park or Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. I love how accommodating Walt Disney World Resort is for Guests of all sizes!
Mike, if you have any other questions, please visit us again. We are all EARS!
Wishing you a Magical Vacation,
Priscila
