Will either of the water parks be open late January into February 2024? It’s showing both will close as of January 28 2024, however we bought tickets specifically for the waterpark during that time.

    Hi Naomi!

Thanks for splashing by planDisney with your question!  The water parks at Walt Disney World Resort are fantastic and I love visiting them as a way to enjoy a little bit of a slower, more relaxing day in the middle of my vacation.  I can tell you are eager to enjoy a visit to a water park as well when you visit later this month, so let's get your question answered!

I visited the Walt Disney World Resort website this morning and was able to find the following information.  Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park is showing that it is open during the time that you are planning to visit.  While I'm not sure the entire length of your stay, I did click on a few days starting the last week of January and am showing operating hours each day from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.  During the winter months, you will typically find that only one water park is open at a time as seasonal maintenance and updates are conducted.  Currently Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is closed and it appears on the operating hours calendar that it will remain closed during your visit.

There is so much to do at both of these water parks that you can easily visit each more than once.  If you have multiple water park days planned during your trip, I don't think you'll be disappointed in making return visits to Blizzard Beach.  The highlight of this water park for any thrill seekers in your party is Summit Plummet where you can slide 12 stories down the slopes of Mount Gushmore!  For something everyone will enjoy, check out Teamboat Springs, a whitewater rafting adventure for up to six people to ride together.  Cross Country Creek is my personal favorite as I like to float the day away on the lazy river!  It's a great way to rest my tired feet after a few days running through the parks.  If you have any little ones in your group, they will absolutely love Tike's Peak where they can splash around in a Frozen-themed play area built just for them.

I'm sure that your whole party will enjoy a flurry of activities and a blizzard of fun during your visit to Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, Naomi!  Please stop by and see us again at planDisney with any other questions!

    See ya real soon,
    Kristi
