    Are either of the water parks closing for refurbishment? We are coming Dec 2018.

    Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    The water parks at Walt Disney World — Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and Disney’s Blizzard Beach — definitely deliver when it comes to offering Guests the chance to splash, plunge, and play with thrills. While Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park will be closed when you visit in December 2018, you can still take in all the excitement at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. For me, personally, the chance to chill out floating along Castaway Creek gives me plenty of time to contemplate a big plunge like Humunga Kowabunga.
