Hey there,
Welcome back to planDisney Emily. We are happy to have you back and can definitely help with this question. Non-Park days are very important as you have to plan a little more. While parks like
Magic Kingdom Park has everything in front of you and accessible.
Planning out your non-Park days are important, but you also wanna make sure you slow down and take some time to enjoy your groups company. My last visit to
Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf was a great experience with some of my panelist pals and our families. We actually waited for a little while at a table located right outside of the entrance, and had a great time talking. I think this would be a perfect place for your lunch. Neither of the locations have meals available for purchase. However, there are snacks, soft drinks, adult beverages, and single serve ice cream available when I visited.
Another great non-Park day activity is checking in with your
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel for the weekly activities. Community Hall has free activities, as well as paid for activities that are minimal cost and maximum fun. Of course the resort pools are an excellent use of your time, hanging out in the morning poolside with some coffee is what I call peaceful. Or even a late night swim where you are closing out the pool with the staff. Believe it or not sometimes these are the most memorable days of the vacation. Always check with your front desk Cast Members for all the cool stuff your resort has to offer.
Disney Springs has so much shopping and wonderful restaurants to offer. You could spend an entire day there, and definitely at least half of a day. If you combined all of these activities, you could probably get two days worth of non-park things to do.
I hope this information is helpful for planning your time playing miniature golf. Head back if you have any other questions, and will be happy to tee up another answer.
Happy golfing,
Jeremy A.
