Hi there, Daniela!
Welcome to planDisney, I'm happy to meet you! Editing a reservation depends a little bit on which type of reservation you're talking about. Park reservations are made individually, so I don't think that's what you're working on. So let's see if we can get you figured out and on your way!
Regular dining reservations may be able to be edited if there is availability at the restaurant. When you are signed in on the
Disneyland website look for "My Disneyland" on the right side of the top menu. Hover your mouse over "My Disneyland" and then click "My Plans" to access your dining reservations. If a reservation has the option to be changed you'll see a "Change Reservation" button on the right side. Clicking that button will give you the choice to change the date, time, and/or number of people on your reservation. In your case, I would just update the number of people and click "Search" to check for availability.
If the restaurant has the ability to accommodate your change then you'll see times pop up to select from. One of the times may be the time you already have (especially if you are removing guests, not adding them) but they may also need you to move your time to fit your new party. Click on the time that works for you and click the green "Change" button at the bottom of the screen. That's it!
This can also be done in the
Disneyland Mobile App by tapping the "≡" icon to open the main menu, selecting "Future Plans" and tapping on the dining reservation you need to change. When you're viewing the reservation details you'll see a "Modify" button that then lets you adjust your party size and select an available time. Make sure you go to the next screen, check that you agree to the policies, and confirm your new reservation.
There are some types of reservations that don't have the option to be changed online, such as
Savi's Workshop — Handbuilt Lightsabers. If your reservation doesn't show the option to modify it online then you've got two options:
- Check if there are still reservations available to fit your new party. If there are, make new reservations and then cancel your old one. But don't cancel before you've confirmed a new reservation!
- If there aren't new reservations available then I would call the Guest Information number and ask for some help. Hopefully, they will be able to assist you without losing the reservation.
Thanks again for your question, Daniela! I hope this info helps you get updated and ready for your visit.
Please feel free to send me a note if you have more questions!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
