Welcome to planDisney, Janell! I'm glad you brought your question to us today, and I'm happy to chat with you about accessing
Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
Janell, I think you'll be happy to hear that the island is accessible to all guests, including those with mobility limitations. The island features paved pathways and ramped accessible pathways to the beach, along with a limited number of sand wheelchairs for guests to utilize at no additional charge (note that these sand wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-serve basis). Additionally, the trams can accommodate wheelchairs and ECVs, so you should have no trouble getting to whichever area of the island you'd like to visit! You can find more information about accessibility and special services in the
Disney Cruise Line information guide for guests with disabilities or medical conditions.
While I haven't had the opportunity to visit this Bahamian paradise, you can find lots of details about the island over at the
Disney Parks Blog as you plan your trip, including taking a look at a detailed map of the island to help you get the layout of the land!
One last tip I'll share to help you to make your sailing as smooth as possible is to be sure to complete the
special services form at least 3 days before your sailing date to ensure any needs you have may be met. While requests are not guaranteed, Disney Cruise Line does its best to accommodate all guests.
I hope this is helpful, Janell, and I hope you will soon be sailing away to Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Pointe! In the meantime, if you have any other planning questions, we'd love for you to sail back to
planDisney and let us know!
Bon Voyage,
Alison
