Hey Scott, welcome to planDisney!
Whether you’re bringing your own electric conveyance vehicle (ECV) or
renting one from the theme parks or Disney Featured Provider, it’s a great idea to use any downtime you have to charge your vehicle.
I reached out to a Cast Member who shared that there are no designated charging stations for ECVs in the parks. Since most ECVs can be plugged into standard outlets, you’ll want to keep an eye out for those around the theme parks and Disney Springs. I’ve often noticed outlets near restrooms, but that may not be the ideal location to park your ECV. I recommend asking a Cast Member for the nearest outlet where you can charge your ECV in a location that is safe for you and other Guests.
Just as I would recommend with a
MagicBand+, charging overnight is important! Make sure your ECV is plugged in at your Disney Resort when you return to your room at the end of the day. Hopefully having a fully charged battery at the start of your day will mean you won’t need to charge as much in the theme parks.
Walt Disney World has shared a breakdown of
accessibility options in the attraction queues. Some attractions may require you to be ambulatory, transfer into a wheelchair, or transfer from your ECV to the ride vehicle. The Cast Members at each attraction will also be there to guide you if needed.
I hope this helps, Scott. If you rent an ECV from the theme parks, you’ll just return it to the rental location as you leave the theme park, which means you won’t need to worry about charging an ECV overnight. Enjoy your upcoming vacation, and if you have any more questions, come back to see us at
