What is the most economical & fun resort to book a small (50-100 people) family based wedding?

    Hi Nancy,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!

I was a Disney Bride too and I was lucky enough to have 70 of my close friends and family attend our wedding back in 2009. What we did for our guests was propose 3 different hotels for them to choose from during their stay: one Value Resort Hotel, one Moderate Resort Hotel and one Deluxe Resort. That way, everyone could choose the location that best suited their needs and budget.

If you’re looking to try to have everyone stay together, then you’ll probably want to go with a Moderate Resort Hotel as it provides the best combination of price and amenities for your gang. Although all of the Resorts in this category are great, my personal favourite is Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. The theming and amenities are fantastic but, most importantly, it’s one of the smallest of all of the Resorts in this category. This means that your guests won’t have to walk a considerable distance (sometimes over a mile) if they want to visit each other.

If you’d like to set up a “room block” for your guests, please contact Disney’s Fairytale Weddings & Honeymoons for more information. They’ll be able to give you more information regarding availabilities and other logistics. I loved working with them during the planning stages of my wedding, and they’ll be able to provide you with all of the guidance that you need in order to plan the perfect destination wedding for you and your guests.

Have a Magical Day… and enjoy your Happily Ever After!
