Eating is a staple of a good Disneyland vacation and I'm looking to have a new tasty treat for each of the four days that we will be enjoying the park at the end of the month. Sweet or salty, big or small, what are some of the must have unique treats?

    Hi, Eric!

I agree—all of the crave-worthy food at the parks is part of what makes “The Happiest Place on Earth” so happy! It sounds like you've already had some of the more well-known favorites on the resort menus, like the ever-popular corn dog, churro and Dole Whip, so below are a few of my favorite sweet and savory snacks you may not have tried.

-Mac & Cheese Hot Dog at the Coca-Cola Refreshment Corner: It’s a premium hot dog smothered in the ultimate comfort food and topped with bacon bits—because everything is better with bacon!

-Hand-Dipped Ice Cream Bars at Clarabelle’s Hand-Scooped Ice Cream: You start by choosing an ice cream flavor (vanilla bean, chocolate or berry sorbet) and then select your dip (dark or milk chocolate). The topping choices include chocolate chips, confetti Mickeys, rainbow sprinkles and blue raspberry bursts, which are similar to Pop Rocks candy. To try a bit of everything, order “The Whole Herd!”

-Dill Pickle Popcorn at the Cozy Cone Motel: Two specialty popcorn flavors are featured daily, and although the salty pickle flavor is my favorite, I’m also a big fan of the other flavors, which include nacho cheese, sweet & spicy, and salt and vinegar. Wash it all down with a cold cup of Doc’s Wild Grape Tonic.

-Mickey-Shaped Beignets at the Mint Julep Bar: Be warned—they’re covered with so much powdered sugar that you might need to dust yourself off after enjoying this delectable dessert! There were special bananas foster-flavored beignets with caramel dipping sauce available on my last visit, and they were divine. Nothing goes better with this rich treat than a Mint Julep!

Bon appetit, Eric! I hope you enjoy my suggestions and have a wonderful visit to the Disneyland Resort.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
