    What are all-you-care-to-enjoy eating places?

Hi there, Tom! I'm so glad you joined us here at planDisney, where one of our very favorite topics is food! I'm happy to sit a spell with you and chat about some of my family's favorite dining spots at the Walt Disney World Resort.

I'm the mom of a pre-teen boy whose appetite is growing as fast as he is! In fact, in no time at all, I think he'll be able to match his dad plate-for-plate. That means we're always looking for places that keep my two big eaters happy, and Walt Disney World's all-you-care-to-eat spots definitely fill the bill - and their tummies!

The best way to find these bastions of gastronomic greatness is to head over to the Dining page on the Walt Disney World website. Just above the restaurant listings, you'll see a menu bar labeled "Filter By." Look to the right of that for "Dining Experience" and check the box next to "Family Style" in the drop-down menu. That will give you a list of restaurants at which at least part of the menu is served all-you-care-to-enjoy on platters or skillets to the table, with the option to keep 'em coming if you like! You'll also see "Buffets" on the list, but these haven't reopened just yet, so you'll want to focus on family style for now.

I do want to share something from my own experience. A couple of the restaurants listed will serve your appetizers and/or salad family style, but you'll order a single entree' from the menu. That was the case for us at Hollywood & Vine a few weeks ago, and it looks like they're also serving that way at The Crystal Palace. You should see that noted on the menu - it will say "choice of entree'" if you'll be choosing one item per person.

Also, I do know that Whispering Canyon Cafe' at Disney's Wilderness Lodge is open and serving its regular all-you-care-to-enjoy skillets along with the option to order an individual entree'. Just one more yummy choice for you!

While you're perusing the menus, Tom, be sure to check out planDisney's "What Would I Order?" list on the Panel Extras page. We've shared our recommendations for meals and snacks we just can't do without when we visit Walt Disney World!

I hope this helps you enjoy some of the delicious dishes on offer at the Walt Disney World Resort, Tom. Have fun, and please come see us again if you have any more questions!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
