I am eating at La Hacienda de st angel near illuminations at 8 pm. it says check in at least 90 min in advance for good seating. if i arrive 2 hours in advance and check in do i need to hang around the restaurant the whole time waiting for my table?

    Hi Brenda,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question.

I’m not sure where you saw that you needed to check in 90 minutes early for your upcoming reservation at La Hacienda de San Angel at Epcot. It’s one of my favourite restaurants in Epcot, especially on nights when I’d like an indoor view of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth and I’ve never had to check in 90 minutes before my reservation, let alone 2 hours!

Although there’s no way to guarantee that you’ll get a great view of the show from your table, I would recommend trying to get a dining reservation closer to 7:30 p.m. Check in about 15 minutes before your reservation (especially if you aren’t able to change it), and tell the Cast Member at the podium that you’re willing to wait for a table near the windows. If they can accommodate your request, they will.

From what I remember, when you do check in for your reservation, you’ll get a pager that should work throughout Mexico, but I remember that there was some uncertainty about whether it would work inside the pyramid. I would recommend staying close to the restaurant while you wait, unless the Cast Member who checks you in has other instructions for you.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
