Eating Dinner at Narcoossee's After Disney at about 9:30 p.m. would we be able to walk from the Grand Floridian back to our room at the contemporary via the new walkway? How long will it take?

    Hi Jennifer,

Welcome back to planDisney! Thank you for stopping by with another great question!

Having just returned from a trip and used that walkway, I am happy to report that we walked from Disney's Contemporary Resort back to our room at Disney's Grand Floridian & Spa. Narcoossee's is actually close to the walking path. Although everyone's walking times could be slightly different, I can say that it took us about 5-7 minutes to walk from Disney's Contemporary Resort to Magic Kingdom and about 20 minutes to walk from Magic Kingdom to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, so my estimate would be that it could take you 25-30 minutes depending on your walking speed.

The walk between Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Magic Kingdom is quite lovely. It never felt like a long walk and we did it several times. We did stop and take a few photos along the way during our first walk along the path. And, of course, walking past Magic Kingdom never gets old!

I am delighted to hEAR that you are doing dinner at Narcoossee's. We also dined there on our most recent visit and had a window table with a gorgeous view. Be sure to use Mobile Dine Check-in with the My Disney Experience Mobile App to check-in for your dining reservations at Walt Disney World® restaurants. Note that we had a limited time to check-in via the mobile app, but if we missed the check-in window, we just checked-in when we got to the restaurant. Also note that the system alerted us if we were not yet close enough to check-in for our dining reservation via the mobile app.

Jennifer, I am so excited that you get to dine at one of our favorite restaurants and enjoy the walk back to your resort afterwards. Remember if you decide that the walk is a tad too far, Walt Disney World® Monorail Transportation should be another option!

    Magic and memories,
    Donyell
