We are eating at Chef Mickey's on July 3 at 6:35pm. I was hoping to be able to see the 4th of July fireworks on the 3rd of July from outside the Magic Kingdom Park. What would time for us to get to the observation deck on the 4th floor of the Contemporary

    Greetings, Richard!

I am in the process of planning my family's 4th of July vacation to Walt Disney World® myself! Including trying to time Disney's Celebrate America - A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky. Here is my advice, based on my experience from watching this spectacular fireworks show from outside the Magic Kingdom last year.

I would head to the observation deck as soon as you have completed your dinner, and hopefully that will be at least 45 minutes to one hour prior to this 9:00pm show. I noticed last year, watching from the beaches of Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, that people really began arriving at about 8:00pm - this should be the case for viewing locations at Disney's Contemporary Resort as well. I don't want to ruin the special elements of this magical display, so I'll only say it's the best I've ever seen!

I hope this helps in your planning, Richard! Please do not hesitate to reach out to the Disney Parks Moms Panel for any additional questions you may have.
