We will be eating at Chef Mickey's on April 6 (son's 5th bday) @ 7:15am. Staying off property. Should we park at TTC and take the monorail to the meal? Going to MK after meal. Also, how long does the typical meal last? Thanks!

Hi Emily! Chef Mickey's is a great place to start a birthday day for your son. It is our go to character meal for every Disney vacation as we enjoy the food and ambience and especially love meeting and greeting the fabulous five characters: Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goof, and Pluto.

Since your reservation is quite early and you will want to arrive no later then 7am to the Contemporary I suggest you park at that resort. When you have a dining reservation you will be allowed in for a few hours but you can also tell them at the gate that you are planning on valet parking and then you can park as long as you wish.  Valet parking costs $25 a day so you are coming out pretty even versus parking at the Magic Kingdom. This is only available to you since you will have the early dining reservation at the Contemporary.

Once breakfast is finished you can then hop on the monorail or even just take a short walk to the entrance of the Magic Kingdom. I am sure you will have fun celebrating a fifth birthday and be sure and stop at the Guest Relations to get a "Happy Birthday" button for him to wear all day!
