Hiya Courtney,
Welcome to planDisney!
Disney’s Contemporary Resort is a fantastic location for dining and has some of the best views (in my opinion) of
Disney’s Enchantment. Your question covers two of my favorite Walt Disney World Resort topics, dining, and nighttime spectaculars! We managed to secure a dinner reservation for
California Grill on my last visit. Their limited-time 50th Anniversary menu was some of the best food I’ve ever had in my life. We are still raving about it in my home. Also, seeing Disney’s Enchantment from the special observation deck was incredible! While nothing can compare to being on Main Street, U.S.A. watching the fireworks so close to Cinderella’s Castle, I can honestly say the 15th-floor observation deck is a very close second for me in terms of favorite spots.
Unfortunately, only Guests with dining reservations for California Grill are able to watch Disney’s Enchantment from the 15th-floor observation deck. However, don’t fret; there is another incredible observation deck on the 4th floor of Disney’s Contemporary that you can use (subject to availability). Like the observation deck for California Grill, it has a sound system that plays the audio for the show and a breathtaking view. Best of all, it is on the same floor as
Chef Mickey’s so you won’t have to go far from your table. Sometimes the deck is unavailable due to private events, so I would suggest double-checking its availability with either the Cast Member at the podium at Chef Mickey’s or the front desk of Disney’s Contemporary before showtime.
I’m sure no matter where you view Disney’s Enchantment, it will be spectacular! Enjoy Chef Mickey’s (it is on my wish list for my next visit)! If you need anything else, please come back and see us!
Happy Planning!
