    If I eat at Steakhouse 71 for lunch can I order a side off the dinner menu?

    Hi there, Danielle. Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. 

    Danielle, Steakhouse 71 is one of my new favorites. I was actually lucky enough to eat there the day before it was technically open and then again for Christmas dinner. Let me tell you, both meals were fantastic. I just love everything about this restaurant so far. 

    As far as the menu goes, Danielle, I really think it is going to be up to the Chef's discretion and what it is that you are actually wanting. Some of the side items that are available on the dinner menu take some time to make and actually might not even be prepped or prepared when you dine for your lunch reservation. I think you have a better chance of this happening if your reservation is toward the end of the lunch seating times. I went ahead and took a look at the lunch menu just to see what options are available. There are a lot of very different menu items between the two meals and I don't really see any crossover so I wouldn't get my hopes up about having a dinner menu item, Danielle. With that being said, I have had Disney magic happen at more meals than just one so I highly encourage you to ask your server anyway. They'll go and talk to the chef and see what they can do for you.  Just a week or so ago, when I was dining for Christmas dinner, I really wanted the loaded macaroni and cheese. I had hyped it up to all of my family members and we were all looking forward to trying it. Well, it turns out that this menu item is now only served in the lounge. However, they were able to sprinkle a little pixie dust and brought me out a small side of it to enjoy. Things like this do happen so that's why I highly encourage asking. 

    Danielle, I hope you'll save some room for dessert at Steakhouse 71. I've had every dessert on the menu and let me tell you, the ambrosia is amazing. It is not your grandma's recipe. It's a reinvention on this classic dessert and I can't get enough of it. It's the best dessert by far!
