Hi Sophia! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!
One of the best things about the
Walt Disney World Resort is that there is something for everyone to enjoy. For me, the food is just as big of an attraction as the rides and experiences. I get excited about deciding on which dining locations we are going to choose for our next trip and being able to try out new places. Walt Disney World has close to 100 table service restaurants, so it is possible to never eat at the same place twice. But some places become favorites and
Steakhouse 71 has quickly become one! The food is delicious and the location is ideal.
This is one of the few dining locations at Walt Disney World that has vastly
different menus for lunch and dinner. There are a couple of crossover items but for the most part, each menu is unique. It will be up to the Chef's discretion whether this will be a possibility during your dining experience. We all hope for a little Disney magic on our vacations, so you just never know if this will be the time. The problem with serving items from a different menu is that those items are not prepped for that service. The kitchen staff will need to prep their workstations to serve a large number of Guests. This is one of the main reasons why it is difficult for restaurants to accommodate these requests.
If you have your heart set on these two menu items, I would suggest moving your plans around and making an Advanced Dining Reservation for lunch. Since Steakhouse 71 is located at
Disney's Contemporary Resort, it is just a short walk from the
Magic Kingdom Park. I would consider taking a mid-day break on your Magic Kingdom day and grabbing a lunch reservation. Especially with your visit being in July, it might be a great idea to get out of the heat for a period of time.
No matter which time you decide to dine at this restaurant, you are going to have an amazing meal. I was lucky enough to eat there on a recent trip and I was blown away by how delicious each item we had was. The Bacon & Eggs is one dish that has made it to both the lunch and dinner menus. Don't let the name fool you, this can be eaten at any time of the day. Pork belly, grits, and a poached egg, it's the perfect combination of flavors. I would come back for this dish over and over again!
Sophia, I hope you have some pixie dust thrown your way on your upcoming stay! Have a magical time on your vacation!
See ya real soon!
