Hey there, EDD! Welcome to planDisney. My pals and I are happy to see you here.
Let's dive into my favorite Disney Cruise topic: food, and specifically dining at
Palo! I'd like to start off by discussing what you can expect each night onboard your sailing. Each Disney Cruise Ship offers three distinct dining rooms where you'll enjoy
rotational dining throughout your cruise. This means that each night onboard, you will be invited to dine at a specific restaurant where your dining team (your server, assistant server, and head server) will rotate with you. You'll have the opportunity to experience multiple dining rooms with new menus nightly, along with consistent service from the same dining team.
There are two seating times, one around 5:45 p.m. and the other at 8:15 p.m. Now, depending on the times of your dinner seating and your Palo reservation, you could technically go to both. For example, you could go to dinner at 5:45 p.m. and then attend a reservation at Palo later in the evening. The dinner service in the main dining rooms lasts approximately 60-90 minutes. You can let your server know if you'd prefer to dine quickly or if you are the type to linger over a meal.
When my kids were younger, and my husband and I had plans for a dinner at Palo, we would attend our 5:45 p.m. dinner with our children. Then, after the kids were finished eating, we'd see them off to the kid's club and head off to a date night at Palo. Sometimes, my husband would order an appetizer at dinner or we'd enjoy some of the bread service to tide us over till our Palo reservation. My best recommendation for
dining at Palo is to arrive hungry. The food is delicious and there are many options to choose from. You'll also want to leave room for dessert. The soufflés on the dessert menu are divine!
EDD, I hope that I've cleared up your question. If you have more questions, please sail right back to us at planDisney and ask. We'll be here for you!
Enjoy your Disney Cruise,
Adrianna
