We are going to eat at Kona the day before our onsite hotel check in. Will we have to pay for parking? Also, can we ride the monorail loop from the Polynesian? We won’t be going to any parks, but want to ride the monorail. Thank you!

Hello Tiffany! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Kona Cafe is a wonderful dining location at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort that I will always remember fondly for having introduced me to Tonga Toast.

Parking at Walt Disney World Resort Hotels has recently changed for Guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort Hotels. Guests are now charged a daily fee for parking their vehicles overnight during their respective stays.

Guests that are hoping to enjoy the dining locations at various Walt Disney World Resort Hotels with Advanced Dining Reservations are exempt from this charge for a 4-hour period around their Advanced Dining Reservations. Security Personnel will require your Dining Reservations Confirmation number upon arriving at the front entrance of Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.

As long as your impromptu monorail trip falls within this time period before or after your Advanced Dining Reservations, then you should not have an issue with a quick trip around Seven Seas Lagoon.

    Have a Magical Meal!
