Hiya, Susan. I'm so glad you found us here on our friendly little corner of the internet! Let's get your question answered.
California Grill is one of my all-time favorites at the
Walt Disney World Resort. In fact, my husband said that the last time he ate there, he had the best steak he'd ever eaten in his life. And he eats a lot of steak! The atmosphere, the food, the service...it's all just top-notch. I can't wait for you to experience it!
The
California Grill Lounge is typically open from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m daily (subject to change), and the limited seating is first-come, first-served. So you'll simply go to the check-in desk on the second floor of
Disney's Contemporary Resort and inquire about availability. If there's room in the lounge, you'll be able to use the private elevator to get to the restaurant to be seated. Just note that if you're not a Guest at this hotel or have an
advanced dining reservation, you will not be able to park at the resort.
Now, don't skip out on the other
dining options available at
this classic Disney resort. You've got
Steakhouse 71, which is much more than just great steaks. Then there's
Chef Mickey's, where you can eat with Mickey and his pals. And I love to grab a bite to eat at the quick-service option in the middle of the Grand Canyon Concourse,
Contempo Café. There's something about grabbing a delicious item from their bakery case, watching the monorail go by, and staring at that beautiful classic mural done by the legendary artist
Mary Blair. Talk about a nostalgic Disney experience!
Happy dining, Susan! If you have any other questions,
please feel free to reach out to me directly.
May your Disney memories be bright, bold, and unforgettable,
Matt
