Hi there, Erin, and welcome to planDisney!
Thank you for bringing us this question about my very favorite Walt Disney World Resort attraction AND my very favorite snack. It’s time to wake up the glee club and ask the chorus.
While all the birds are still singing words and the flowers are still crooning, some things are a little different these days as part of the
phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort. I checked with a Cast Member, who confirmed that face coverings must be worn at all times during attractions, so you would not be permitted to remove your face covering to enjoy your DOLE Whip inside
Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room.
Enjoying a DOLE Whip while singing “In the Tiki, Tiki, Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room” is an iconic must-do for me during every Walt Disney World Resort vacation, so I know how you’re feeling about this news. However, I know our favorite birdies, flowers, and idols wouldn’t want this news to rain on our parade (at least, not for too long). You can still
pick up a delicious DOLE Whip from Aloha Isle, find a seat in Adventureland, and feel all the tropical hideaway feelings.
I see you’re arriving in just a few weeks, and I want to be sure you’ve seen the
April 2021 Disney Parks Best Bites guide on the Disney Parks Blog. I can’t even choose which tasty tidbit to enjoy first! I have a vision in my head of you enjoying the sweet-tart Cotton Top Lagoon from
Isle of Java at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park while taking in the amazing birds on Discovery Island and singing “let’s all sing like the birdies sing…tweet, tweet-tweet, tweet-tweet.” From one Tiki Room lover to another, I hope you carry the Tiki Room song in your heart throughout your vacation and recreate the truly magical vibes from the iconic show combined with the tastiest snacks.
Farewell and aloha to you, Erin – I’m raising my imaginary DOLE Whip Float and saying cheers to your magical and enchanted vacation.
