I would like to eat dinner at La Hacienda de San Angel on my birthday with plans to watch Illumimations from there. What time should I book the meal? And, should I tell them that it’s my birthday and request a particular seat? Thank you!

    Hello Melissa,
I can't think of a more magical place to celebrate other than with a birthday fiesta at La Hacienda de San Angel within the Mexican Pavilion at Epcot, it's sure to be filled with many serenades of Las Mañanitas!
My top birthday tips are to be sure to have your celebration noted onto any Advanced Dining Reservations by speaking with a friendly Cast Member in Dining Reservations by dialling the telephone number contained within this Walt Disney World Resort Phone Directory link and also to collect a complimentary 'I'm celebrating' button which should be available from any Guest Relations; wearers of the cute buttons often get wished a happy birthday by Cast Members and other friendly Guests alike.
The best way to help decide what time to secure an Advanced Dining Reservation at La Hacienda de San Angel to try and coincide with IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth is to double check the current times schedule via this Park Hours and Calendars link; for example if IllumiNations begins at 9pm I would suggest making a reservation for around 7.30pm.
Although it's always possible to enquire about making special seating requests at most Disney restaurants, it is worth remembering that Cast Members will do their very best to try and accommodate where possible, but special requests can never be guaranteed.
