Is it easy to take an uber from our cocoa beach hotel to board our cruise? How early before boarding time should we get there? Thank you!

Hello, Nancy! Welcome back to planDisney. I'm so happy that you decided to cruise back to us with another question.

Your sailing is just ahead on the horizon, and it's about time to zip up your suitcases and head out for an adventure. On the day of your Disney Cruise, it will be easy to find a rideshare service from Cocoa Beach to Port Canaveral. Many drivers know that cruisers like to stay near the port and will be ready and waiting to provide their services.

When you checked in online for your Disney Cruise, the last step in the check-in process was to select a Port Arrival Time from the times listed. Ideally, you would like to step out of your car and up to the terminal to begin the in-person check-in process right at the Port Arrival Time you selected. When cruisers arrive at their specified time (or as close to it as possible), the boarding process can be streamlined, allowing for shorter waits to board the ship. That means less time between you and lunch or an afternoon soft-serve ice cream cone on the Disney Fantasy!

With a drive time between Cocoa Beach and Port Canaveral of approximately 15 minutes, I'd suggest opening your rideshare app and seeing what the availability looks like around 30 minutes prior to your Port Arrival Time. If drivers are close by, you can wait a little while before submitting your ride request. I hope this information is helpful.

Please know that my pals and I are here for you if you have more questions. Have a lovely time on your Disney Cruise!

    Bon Voyage,
