How easy is it to make reservations for 7 people? Would it be better to split with a table for 3 and a table for 4? Thanks!

    Hi Margaret!

I plan a reunion for about 50 Guests every year, so I know a thing or two about making a Walt Disney World dining reservation for large party.  My advice is to try for your total number first.  Each restaurant has a set maximum number you can make a reservation for and it's usually 14 and under.  If you're making reservations right at your 180 day window, you shouldn't have a problem finding a table for your entire party.  If you find that you are unable to grab a table for your party of 7, then try other combinations.  If you still can't get a table for all of you, you might have to try for 3 tables of 2, 2 and 3.  You will need to put each reservation for the same restaurant under a different name.  When I am making reservations for large groups, I only name the lead person and leave the rest of the Guests blank.  It will ask you to name them, but it's not necessary.

If you end up with split reservations, the restaurants will do everything they can to seat you at the same table or tables next to each other.  In all of the meals I've had with split reservations, we have always been right next to each other if they were unable to put one table together for all of us.

    Have a magical day!
