Hiya Jeffrey!
Welcome to planDisney, the most magical place on the internet. Wow, Jeffrey, what magical plans you have in store! I know I have the best memories from my own trips to the Walt Disney World Resort with my family, and I just know that you and your sons will make the best memories on your vacation.
Unfortunately, when it comes to the profiles of minors, they typically
cannot be reassigned after their creation. Indeed, when a child is under 13, and a parent or guardian creates their profile, that parent or guardian is responsible for managing the child's profile and cannot transfer it to someone else. Now, this does not mean that you will not be able to make plans for your sons! Since you can see their profiles, you could still make reservations and
Lightning Lane selections for them, provided that their theme park tickets are linked to their profile. Otherwise, you could create new profiles for them that your account would manage. However, Disney advises against doing so since it could create issues when redeeming travel plans or Lightning Lane selections. In conclusion, I would highly suggest that you
contact a Cast Member via chat, email or phone, as they should be able to help with this issue. I love the chat feature on the Walt Disney World Resort website as it is usually relatively quick, and Cast Members can help with technical issues like this.
Since I do not know exactly when you will be travelling, I thought I would suggest some upcoming events that may be fun to experience with your boys. First,
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is finally returning to the Walt Disney World Resort starting on August 12th, 2022, and I could not be more excited. These special ticketed events allow you to get all dressed up in your Halloween costumes, trick-or-treat around Magic Kingdom Park and watch some spooky fireworks, parades and shows. Plus, you get to meet some of your favourite characters that aren't usually out and about in the theme parks!
EPCOT's International Food & Wine Festival is also happening simultaneously, where everyone can try different food items from around the world. My favourite activity to do there, however, is
Remy's Ratatouille Hide & Squeak scavenger hunt. Every year, statues of Remy are hidden throughout the World Showcase, and you have to identify which figures are in which countries on a map using stickers. These maps can be purchased at select merchandise locations, and you will receive a prize once your map is complete!
I hope this was helpful, Jeffrey, and that you and your little chefs have the best day ever on your next Disney vacation. If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your trip, please don't hesitate to reach out. Just like grim grinning ghosts, we always love to come out and socialize!
Have a magical day,
Ariane
