Hi Sarah!
You have a couple of options to reach Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground from the Disney's Polynesian Resort. Neither are difficult and in fact they fun modes of travel!
Always allow yourself a full hour of travel time from point to point.
Now, you'll need to take 2 easy steps to get to Fort Wilderness from the Polynesian. The first step is to get to Magic Kingdom. This part, of course, is easy! Simply jump on the monorail and you're there in just two stops, or, take the resort boat launch from the marina.
Upon arrival at Magic Kingdom, you'll want to board the boat to Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. This boat dock is just to the east of the Polynesian's arrival dock. Once on board, you'll find yourselves arriving at Fort Wilderness in about 15-20 minutes time. Proceed to the Pioneer Hall and let the fun begin!
Following your evening at the
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, you'll find boats ready and waiting to transport guests back over to the Magic Kingdom where you can board your Polynesian boat or monorail. Some boats also stop at Disney's Contemporary Resort along the way. If you choose, you may disembark there for a bit of shopping and sight-seeing before jumping on the monorail back to the Polynesian.
If you happen to find yourselves at one of the Disney Parks or Downtown Disney prior to your showtime at the Hoop-Dee-Doo, you'll simply board a Fort Wilderness bus to get there directly from any of these locations. Keep in mind that
Disney's Wilderness Lodge is a separate resort location, so be sure to take the right bus or boat and disembark at the correct stop.
