Is it easy to "park hop" between California Adventure and Disneyland? My sister in law lives in LA and she said the parks are too far apart for us to go from one to another as we did on our visit to WDW?

Park hopping between Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park is the easiest thing to do! They parks are right across from each other and are literally less then one minute apart. It is one of the best things about the Disneyland Resort. The parks and Downtown Disney are all there for you to enjoy in one spot. No need for a taxi or bus, which is great. I would suggest that a great way to visit California Adventure is to enter through the magnificent Disney Grand Californian Hotel. After you exit the tram, head left toward Downtown Disney and head toward the hotel. The grand lobby is stunning with the huge fireplace and American craft work. My kids love the small rocking chairs, they are a great Disney touch. If you want to leave the parks and shop, Downtown Disney has great food. For me, nothing tops Napolini, a gourmet Italian deli. Authentic Italian fare includes fresh salads, delicious pastas, pizza and mouth watering paninis. From the main entrance to the parks to this spot is maybe a five minute stroll tops. For my family park hopping every Disneyland Resort trip is a must. The kids will demand to ride Matterhorn at Disneyland and I have to visit Cars Land to ride the Radiator Spring Racers. It is just so easy and fun, that I would suggest it is a must do. I hope this assists you and I cannot wait to see you at the parks.
