Hi there, Shona!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for stopping by with you question about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation! As a mom of two littles that are thirteen-months apart, a double stroller can be a lifesaver at the
theme parks! Even now that they are older and prefer to walk we still like having one when the days get long and their little legs get tired! Plus, its an excellent place to store necessities and ALL the souvenirs!
When using Walt Disney World Resort transportation please note that double strollers must be folded down completely for transportation on the buses and some of the smaller boats. Many times it is easier to have them folded down and ready to go before boarding, so I would recommend putting one adult in charge of hand holding and one in charge of the stroller. That way when transportation arrives you can quickly board and be en route to your next magical destination.
While I understand it is sometimes nice to have your own stroller while traveling, there are
strollers available to rent at each of the theme parks. You will simply pick one up at the entrance to a theme park and return it before leaving at the end of your day. Then you can use your receipt to pick up another one at the next theme park if you are park hopping for the day! The nice thing about this option is that you won’t have to handle the stroller on the buses, boats or monorails.
Traveling to Walt Disney World Resort with young children will be such a treat for you! There is something about seeing all the magic alongside a little one that makes it so special. Wishing you a wonderful and magical vacation.
