Hi Mandy, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
My family has celebrated the past two Easters at Walt Disney World, and we have had a hoppin' time! We don't have official details yet on many of the Easter fun that's being planned around the parks, resorts, and Disney Springs, so be sure to read the
Disney Parks Blog for important dispatches from the Easter Bunny as we get closer to that egg-stra special day.
My family really enjoys the
Easter Egg-Stravaganza, which is part of the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. Purchase a map at a participating Epcot vendor, and then have a blast searching high and low for Disney-themed eggs hidden throughout Epcot's World Showcase. When you're finished, return the map for an Easter prize. We love munching on festival treats while exploring. So much fun!
In past years, a gorgeous display of edible chocolate Easter eggs decorated by Disney's amazing pastry chefs has filled the lobby of Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. We're still waiting for the details, but this is a really fun one.
Mr. & Mrs. Easter Bunny have also hopped into Magic Kingdom Park on Easter weekend to greet Guests. They are adorable and it makes for a darling photo, so I hope they'll be back this year.
If you'll be staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, there are often special Easter activities on Easter morning. We've participated in candy scrambles and games, and met characters dressed in their Easter best. The resort will usually post an activity schedule in the lobby area, so be sure to stop by and get all the details.
Hippity hoppity, Easter's on its way, and I hope you have an egg-cellent time!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
