Hi Jodi,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Sometimes when we are on vacation we are willing to miss a Sunday worship service but Easter is not one of those times. I am so glad that you and so many others are planning to include services during your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
I recently answered a similar question for another guest and I hope you don't mind me sharing part of that answer. "In recent years religious services have been held on Easter Sunday in one of the ballrooms at
Disney's Contemporary Resort. They have not been announced for this year but they are not typically announced until about a month before Easter. For planning purposes, Catholic Mass has been held at 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., with a Protestant service in between at 9:15 a.m. I would ask the
Lobby Concierge at your resort when you check-in to confirm the times. I would also make a plan for transportation. Parking will be limited at Disney's Contemporary Resort. If you take resort transportation to Magic Kingdom Park, it's a short walk or Monorail ride to the Contemporary. Likewise, if you are driving yourselves, plan to park in Magic Kingdom Parking and walk or use resort transportation."
While this year's activities for Easter have not been announced, I am hoping they will bring back some favorites. In the past, the Easter Bunny and Mrs. Bunny have greeted guests at
Magic Kingdom Park, several of the resorts have had elaborate Easter Egg displays, and the Eggstavaganza hunt was held at Epcot. I suggest keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for updates on upcoming activities.
Jodi, thank you for visiting us with your question. I hope you will let us know if we can help you with any other planning questions.
Wishing you a Happy Easter and a magical vacation,
Amy H.
