What is the easiest way for seniors to travel from Port Orleans French Quarter to Epcot? And to Mickey's Backyard BBQ? Is it easy to get transportationn FROM Mickey's BBQ after the dinner/show back to Port Orleans? Thanks!

    Dawn:

The best way to get from Port Orleans: French Quarter to Epcot is to take the Disney bus system.  The French Quarter is a small resort, so thankfully, there's not much walking to the bus stop.

As for Mickey's Backyard BBQ, there's no easy route.  Usually I'd recommend taking the bus to the Magic Kingdom to get the boat launch to Fort Wilderness.  But if you've got the time, a better route might be to use the bus system for the entire trip.  Take a bus to the Ticket and Transportation Center and then transfer to the Fort Wilderness bus.  The fort's bus will drop you off at its Outpost.  From there, you can board one of the fort's internal buses (the Orange Line to Pioneer Hall) that will take you to the Settlement bus stop.  From that bus stop, you have a short stroll to the pavilion behind Pioneer Hall.

To return home, I'd just reverse the bus route.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
