easiest way to make purchases on magicbands???My 8 yrold has his own cash $ to buy stuff.if we secure magic bands with cash my husband and I will be making purchases too and it'll get confusing as to how much $ he has spent. Really don't want to carry cash

    Hi Steven,

I love that your son will have his own spending money on your vacation! Each time my son gets to dip into his piggy bank for souvenir money it really makes him feel grown up and makes his purchases special.

When you check in to your Disney Resort hotel, a Cast Member will set up charging privileges on your MagicBands based on your preferences. You'll need to leave a credit card on file with the hotel but it won't be charged right away.

I recommend setting a daily spending limit for your son and visiting the Front Desk of the hotel to pay the balance with cash when you return from a day in the parks or the following morning on your way out. Your son will need to be able to remember a 4-digit PIN number to make purchases with his MagicBand, but at least you won't have to carry the cash around.

I hope this solution will work for your family, Steven. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Happy planning!
