What is the easiest way to plan for a multi room visit for a 5 year old birthday in late November?

    Hi, there!

Allison, I'm just thrilled to hear you're planning a birthday celebration at the Walt Disney World Resort. And during the holiday season, no less! What a magical and merry way to celebrate turning 5-years old.

The best place to start planning this celebratory visit is the Walt Disney World Resort website. There you can explore over 25 Disney Resort hotels to find the right fit for your group's unique needs, interests, and budget. My extended family planned a Disney vacation together a few years ago, and our group of 14 decided to book four rooms at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. We loved that this moderate Resort hotel offers themed rooms, great dining options, a super fun feature pool, and convenient access to Disney Springs. Upon check-in, we learned that our rooms were side by side, which made gathering together in the mornings quick and easy. We appreciated the personal space that our individual rooms provided, but based on your group's dynamics, you may want to consider booking a Deluxe Villa for your stay! Once you've selected a Disney Resort hotel, you can complete the booking process online. In my experience, though, I've found it much easier to book multiple rooms over the phone with the help of a friendly Cast Member. With the assistance of a Cast Member, you can be sure that your vacation plans won't get Tangled. They'll help you straighten out your plans so that you can let your hair down!

My immediate family arrived at the Walt Disney World Resort one day ahead of our extended family for our large, multi-generational trip. For that one night, we decided to book a room at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. This split-stay allowed us to explore and enjoy TWO incredible Disney Resort hotels in just one vacation! We've since always booked a split-stay between two Disney Resort hotels for our Disney vacations. One of the things I love the most about a split-stay is that Bell Services will transfer our luggage from our first Disney Resort hotel to our next. How convenient is that? A split-stay can be booked online through your My Disney Experience account by selecting "Add More Plans" and then "Resort Hotel Reservations." But again, I prefer to book my family's split-stays over the phone by calling (407) 939-1936.

Speaking of My Disney Experience, be sure that you and the other Guests in your travel party connect through Family & Friends. Once you're all connected, you'll be able to create and share plans together!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Allison. Please visit us again soon with any new questions you may have about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. We'd love to help you plan a magical stay!
