What is the easiest way to get from the Old Key West resort to the Riviera resort?

Greeting from planDisney, Pat and welcome!

Pat, I'm so happy to chat with you about transportation between Disney Vacation Club Resorts and in this case, my family has made the trip from Disney's Old Key West Resort to Disney's Riviera Resort. Hopefully my experience will help in your decisions, so let's discuss all of your options.

When my family was headed to Disney's Riviera Resort for our early breakfast reservation at Topolino's Terrace Flavors of the Riviera, we opted to use a rideshare service (for a fee). We chose this option on the way to breakfast as it allowed "door-to-door" service and was the quickest in terms of travel time (which helped with my sleepy Mouseketeers). Please note that when driving or using a ride share service, the Cast Member at the parking podium may ask to see confirmation of your advanced dining reservation to allow for entry.

Now, Pat, after breakfast, we did NOT use a rideshare service for the return trip, but hopped aboard the Disney Skyliner to Disney's Hollywood Studios where we then caught a bus heading back to Disney's Old Key West Resort. You would be welcome to use this method on the way to Disney's Riviera Resort as well. Just be mindful of the operating hours of the Disney Skyliner and Disney Bus Transportation.

A third option would be to use Disney Springs as a transfer station. So, you would first take a bus from Disney's Old Key West Resort to Disney Springs and then change buses to your final destination of Disney's Riviera Resort. While likely not the quickest option, my family and I will often use the Disney Springs bus hub as a transfer point when visiting other resorts. Sometimes we'll even build this into our itinerary by allowing some shopping time before boarding bus number two!

Pat, I hope this helps as you're building your itinerary and getting excited for your trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth! Please come on back to planDisney with any other questions you might have. Just like Cinderella's Fairy Godmother, we love to help make wishes come true.
