What's the easiest way to get from Hollywood studios to Chef Mickey's? And also the easiest way to get from Animal Kingdom to Magic Kingdom? Thanks

    Hi Karin,

Welcome to planDisney! You must be so excited that your Walt Disney World vacation is just around the corner.

One of the things I love most about staying in a Walt Disney World resort is the complimentary transportation. We park our car and let Mickey's friends steer us wherever we want to go either by bus, boat, monorail or Skyliner.

From Hollywood Studios, the easiest way to reach the Contemporary resort and your table at Chef Mickey's is by bus. You will find a bus stop for the Contemporary just past the Skyliner station, right outside the entrance of Hollywood Studios. Even though the drive is only about 15 minutes, I always like to give myself at least an hour for transit when I'm heading for a dining reservation. Though buses run about every 20 minutes, there can be unexpected delays, and I never like to be stressed about being late.

A Disney bus is also your best bet for moving from Animal Kingdom to Magic Kingdom. The bus from Animal Kingdom will drop you near the Magic Kingdom entrance. The only other way to get directly to the front door of Magic Kingdom from Animal Kingdom is by using the paid Minnie Van service. Other ride share transportation will drop you off at the Transportation and Ticket Center, where you board a ferry or monorail for Magic Kingdom.

Did you know, Karin, that the My Disney Experience Mobile App contains a "Get Directions" feature? While you are at Walt Disney World, you can use that feature to help navigate on foot or by any means of transportation.

Thanks for stopping by with your question. Please let us know if we can help in any other way as your visit nears.

    Enjoy!
