Easiest way to get from Hollywood Studios to Beaches and Cream. We have reservation mid-afternoon and we are hoping we can just walk or do we have to take the bus to Disney's Beach Club resort. Thanks arrival in t-minus 11 days.

    Hi Christina,

HURRAY! You are 11 days away from your magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, and I’m so, so excited for you. You don’t happen to have room in your suitcase for me, do you?

On my family’s visit a few months ago, we wandered out of Epcot and over to Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. After picking up our ice cream from the walk-up window, we found some rocking chairs with a pool view, and that night, sipping root beer floats and taking in a beautiful Walt Disney World evening, was just perfect. I know you’re going to love it! Even though the shop is tiny, take a look around at all the Disney details. I won’t spoil anything, but keep an eye out for the lamps – they make smile every time!

Getting over to Disney’s Beach Club Resort from Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a breeze! You can walk using the paved pathway connecting Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s BoardWalk area, and Epcot – it’s a lovely, well-signed waterside walk and it takes about 10-15 minutes. Your other option is catching a FriendShip boat. The launch is just outside Disney’s Hollywood Studios (look to the left as you exit the park) and there are several stops along Crescent Lake. My family really enjoys Disney’s Water Transportation, so that’s the choice we usually make. You can always stop a Cast Member and ask for directions if you’re not sure where to go – they might even share their favorite ice cream flavor!

Okay, Christina, since you asked about two of my favorite places, I’ve got to give you two tips. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, don’t miss For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration. Not only is this a lovely show (with great air conditioning), but it is hilarious! My frozen heart is always melted when I watch little ones sing their hearts out to their favorite songs, and the magical finale is just too good. At Beaches & Cream Soda Shop, you can’t go wrong with any of the options, but if you like peanut butter, I highly recommend the No Way Jose. The warm peanut butter sauce has GOT to be made by a fairy godmother – it’s truly an enchanting potion of deliciousness!

Have the best time in ELEVEN DAYS!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
