Hiya Bea! Welcome to planDisney!
You have come to the perfect place to get answers to your Walt Disney World questions! Helping Guests get from place to place is one of my favorite things to do, so let's discuss some options for you on this trip.
Staying at
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort awards you a few options when it comes to getting around. While there is no direct route from resort to resort (except Disney's Wilderness Lodge, which may have a bus running that transfers Guests between these resorts), there are still plenty of ways to use Disney Transportation to get to your destination.
Disney Water Transportation is available and will take you to the entrance of the Magic Kingdom. From here, you can hop on the monorail to get to a few of the Disney Deluxe Resorts Hotels.
Your next option is to take the bus to Disney's Hollywood Studios and hop on the
Disney Skyliner once you arrive. You can reach a host of resorts, including Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney's Riviera Resort, Disney's Pop Century Resort, Disney's Art of Animation Resort, and the Disney Deluxe Resorts that sit along Disney's Boardwalk. The Skyliner has completely opened up access to many of the Disney Resorts.
Your last option will be to take a bus to Disney Springs and then transfer to any of the resorts from there. This may be rather time-consuming since you will need to wait twice for buses, but it will be a complimentary option. You can always take a ride-share service for a designated fee from Fort Wilderness to any of the resorts. The
Minnie Van Service has returned and is a fun way to get around Walt Disney World. This service is connected by Lyft, so make sure to download the app to your mobile device to try this out.
Bea, I hope this information helps you during your stay! I'm so excited that you are arriving today for your vacation!
Have a magical day!
Greg
