is it easier to get around renting a minivan (bring car seatsfor 4 kids,) or rely solely on WDW trans? We have 1 child w/anxiety issues & want to avoid crowded bus). Is minivan easier to get to/from resorts/parks/reservations than using wdw transporta

    Howdy Christine!

Disney transportation is fantastic! If you will be coming and going to the Theme Parks, Downtown Disney, etc. during non-peak hours, you might find very few people on or waiting for the bus, which will be helpful for your little one with anxiety.

If, however, you find yourself on a crowded bus, it could be a bit challenging for you. We only have two kiddos but by the time we get them, ourselves, our backpack(s) and double stroller onto the bus, it can be wearisome at times.

The 4 car seats that you are bringing also caught my attention. Are you bringing strollers with you or renting them in the Theme Parks? If you are going to be transporting 2 adults, 4 kids and all the stuff that is needed to accommodate them, I think you have a great idea of renting a vehicle for your stay. Parking is very easy and Walt Disney World Resort is well marked.

We typically fly to Walt Disney World but there have been a couple of times that we have driven.  Having our own personal vehicle gives us additional options.  Even when we drive, we still try to use Disney transportation from time to time.  The kids enjoy the experience and it's nice to be able to sit back and enjoy the ride.  We typically use Disney Transportation when visiting Magic Kingdom because of the parking lot location.  Once you park at the Transportation and Ticket Center, you will then take a boat or the monorail to Magic Kingdom.  The parking lots at the other Theme Parks are very close and have easy access to the entrance.

I'm so excited for you!  You are going to have a wonderful time seeing Walt Disney World through the awe and wonder of your children's eyes!

Thanks for your question and please let me know if you need any further information as you plan your trip.  Have a magical day!!
