Greetings, Kirk! And welcome to planDisney. I appreciate your question about maximizing credit card power.
Are you considering a
Disney Premier Visa account? I have had one for years and am quite a fan. I find it to be a very enterprising choice when saving for my
Walt Disney World Resort vacations. With this card, you
earn 2% on select purchases, including at grocery stores, gasoline stations, and best of all, most Disney destinations. I always use it when booking a
Walt Disney World Vacation package for the 2% reward. (It's like I am making money by going to Walt Disney World, right?
Disney math.) The
Disney Rewards Dollars you earn will be available on a card that can be shipped to you and used as a gift card while at Walt Disney World.
The Disney Visa card also has other benefits. You can save 10% on some purchases over $50, like souvenirs at the
Emporium. There are also dining discounts at many Walt Disney World locations. My favorite discount I just learned after all these years: Joffrey's offers 20% off your order (excluding alcohol). One thing to remember: you need to mention the discount, show your Disney Visa card or the
Disney Rewards Redemption Card, and use either for payment to receive the discount. All of these offers and discounts are subject to change, so I check the headlines and the details before I head to the parks. I don't want to miss any news like that Joffrey's discount.
There are also fun benefits you can't buy, like the exclusive
Disney character photo spot in
EPCOT and the dedicated line for Disney Visa cardholders for the Star Wars character experience in
Disney's Hollywood Studios. Card members also have access to limited-time offers, like one now for a
free dining plan offer with certain vacation packages.
If you have any other specific questions about the credit card, the
Disney Visa contact center is a great resource. And for any questions about how to spend your Disney Rewards Dollars, please come back to
planDisney. I've got your back!
