How early does the skyliner begin operation each day? Also, i have heard the Monorail between the T&TC and EPCOT is not currently running. Can you confirm this? Trying to decide how to do transportation next week.

Welcome to planDisney, Perry! I'm so glad that I get to answer your question today before you take off for your trip to Walt Disney World Resort next week. I think it's really smart of you to plan out your transportation before your arrival, or at least spend a little bit of time thinking about it beforehand. There is a robust transportation system that will get you anywhere you need to go at The Most Magical Place On Earth, but there have been a few changes during the phased reopening process and I'm happy to walk you through them.

First, let's chat about the monorail. It looks like you're all caught up with the latest transportation news because you're correct, the EPCOT loop of the monorail is not currently running. The route that services Magic Kingdom Park and the adjacent Resort Hotels is currently active and servicing guests, but the stop at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is under construction and the monorail will not stop there to pick up or drop off guests. Bus service to EPCOT will be available from all Resort Hotels, so you can still get there quickly and efficiently during your vacation.

The Disney Skyliner is my favorite mode of transportation at Walt Disney World Resort, so I'm happy to hear you have plans to use it on your trip! It tends to start running in the morning right around the time that EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios open up, and sometimes a few minutes before. The hours for the Disney Skyliner will be posted at each stop, so be sure to snap a picture and save it to your phone! If you're trying to get into the first boarding group release for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, I recommend not using the Disney Skyliner and opting for the bus instead. You're more likely to get to Disney's Hollywood Studios before it opens that way so you can be one of the first guests inside and set yourself up for success when trying to get a Boarding Group.

I hope this answers your questions, Perry, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
