    How early should you ship a box to Disney world prior to your trip

    Hi Amanda!

    Many guests have found that they can’t bring everything they wish when traveling to Walt Disney World for a vacation. This is especially true when you are flying and have small children who need diapers, wipes, and other baby items.

    The Disney resorts do allow guests to ship packages early but it is important not to ship them too early for there is a greater chance of them being set aside and misplaced. I try to get things shipped so they arrive about 4-5 days before check-in date.  When you address the package be sure and put the person’s name who the reservation is under as well as the check in date. Also use the word GUEST next to the name. You can find the resort addresses on the website. There is also a $5 handling free for every package that is shipped. I have always found that UPS or FedEx works best as they can pretty much tell you how long it is going to take to reach Disney so you have a better idea of when to ship it.
