Welcome BACK, Denise!
It's so good to see you asking another Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question to us hEAR at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Ooooh,
Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White is on my Disney bucket list. I hope your whole crew has the best time!
Yes, any friend of Mickey is more than welcome to explore the grounds, common areas and recreation activities of Disney's Resort Hotels, no matter where they're staying. There are a few areas reserved specifically for the guests of that resort hotel, such as all pools, and some guest room buildings may require access through a MagicBand registered to a guest of that hotel. Other than that, the more the merrier!
I do want to point out that your dinner reservation is at
Disney's Wilderness Lodge while the
Tri-Circle-D Ranch where "The Happiest Horses on Earth" live is at the neighboring Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. These two resorts are connected by a convenient and complimentary water taxi. If this is high on your must-do Disney list, then I would schedule this stop earlier in your day as I'm not sure you could get there after your character dinner in time to see the horses before they go to bed. (*Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is a large and very beautiful campground area with its own internal bus system. To get from the horses to dinner, or vis versa, you'll take a bus from the front of the resort,
linked here, to the back of the resort,
linked here, and walk to/from the boat dock. It's best to plan about 90 minutes for this transportation time.)
Or, if you're looking for anything to do in this neck of the Walt Disney World woods, I have a few recommendations:
Movies Under The Stars are available at all Disney Resort Hotels, weather permitting; however, their schedule at each resort is not nightly. But, the same water taxi as above also takes guests to Disney's Contemporary Resort, which is connected to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa by the famous
Disney Monorail, so you basically have five options. The Concierge at your Disney Resort Hotel will be happy to find out the movie schedules for the night of your Story Book dinner. And Pro Tip: The movie at Fort Wilderness is shown after
Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-long!
Another idea is to watch the
Magic Kingdom Fireworks from the beach of either the Poly or Grand Floridian resorts. Both pipe in the show music and both have quick service dining locations where you can get an evening drink or dessert to enjoy during the show.
Lastly, these same five hotels all have perfect viewing locations of the nightly
Electrical Water Pageant!
I hope that this helped to plan your upcoming Disney Days, Denise, and We'll See You Real Soon!
