Hey there, Hi there, Ho there, Maureen!
Welcome to planDisney and excellent planning! I am a rope dropper for life! My entire childhood, my dad taught us how to maximize our time in the parks. I remember growing up, the key was finding my mom a place to purchase coffee and then following my dad’s plan. Since then, I am the official planner in my family, that is, unless the middle sister is in attendance. She then wears my dad’s planning hat.
Now that I think more about it, my dad finally joined my kids and me on a visit this past March, and he settled right back into his leadership role even though his last visit to
Walt Disney World was 3 years ago! While I had to make a few modifications, his overall planning was well done, even though he had been out of the game for a few years.
The good news is, you can head over to the
stroller rental location as soon as the theme park
opens. I have even seen guests rent their strollers during the Early Entry time period as well. We usually head straight to the
lockers, then to our first destination when we rope drop.
I also recommend checking out the Disney Featured Provider for stroller rentals. ScooterBug is a private mobility rental company that can drop your stroller rental off at your
Disney Resort Hotel. At the end of your visit, they will also pick it up from your resort. This is a great option when visiting with little ones because you can push them from the bus stop back to your room after a long day in the theme parks. My little ones were usually asleep at this time, so it made transporting them a little easier.
Don’t forget to take advantage of the
Baby Care Centers when inside the theme parks. They are the perfect spot for your little one to unwind and cool down. They are also the best place to get them to eat, as distractions are minimal. My son has always been a people watcher, so getting him to take a bite in between has always been challenging. The Baby Care Centers gave him the quiet he needed.
Maureen, I hope this helps answer your question so that you can continue planning with your little one. If there’s anything else we can help with, please don’t hesitate to ask!
Happy planning,
Shantel
