Welcome to planDisney, Thomas!
A November trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth sounds awesome! This is a really great time of year to visit. The crowd levels are a bit lower and the weather is very pleasant.
Thomas, I can tell you that the parking lots tend to open around 45-60 minutes prior to park opening. If you show up too early, you'll just be turned away. (I found this out the hard way one time! Let's just say my family was not super pleased that I woke them up extra early for nothing!). I understand your concern about visiting
Magic Kingdom Park. The distance from the parking lot to the park entrance is quite a trek. As long as you're there around 45 minutes before the park opens, you should be able to get a pretty decent parking space. Then it's just a short walk to the Transportation and Ticket Center. You'll then be able to hop on the Monorail and enjoy the spectacular ride to Magic Kingdom Park.
One of the downsides to staying off property is that it's more hassle to get to the theme parks for opening, especially Magic Kingdom Park. That's why, when possible, I always try to stay at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel. Not only do you get
Early Theme Park entry, but the free transportation means that getting to the theme parks is super convenient. But I know staying onsite is not always possible. Even so, I'm sure you'll have a magical time, Thomas.
Make sure you check out all there is to see and enjoy for the 50th Anniversary Celebration. The nighttime spectaculars,
Harmonious, and
Disney Enchantment are a must! And don't miss
Remy's Ratouille's Adventure and
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT. These new attractions will have you grinning from EAR to EAR.
See ya real soon!
