    How early does the parking lot open at Magic Kingdom? We will be checking out of our Disney hotel the day we visit and wanted to take advantage of the extra magic hour but wasn't sure if we could park before 8.

    Hi Camie,

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You have stumbled across a difficult question to answer. I spoke to a couple of different Cast Members in search of an answer to your question and received vastly different answers. An official opening time for the parking lot at Magic Kingdom Park is not released because it can vary from day-to-day. However, I do have good news for you, each Cast Member said the parking lot would be open at least an hour before the park opens for Extra Magic Hours. 

    The opening times I found ranged from an hour and a half to two and a half hours before park opening times. I made sure they meant for Extra Magic Hours as well and it was confirmed they did. I think it's a great plan to enjoy a little bit more park time during Extra Magic Hours before you have to leave for home. I hope it's the perfect farewell for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
