How early can one enter the park for a 7:40am dining reservation? Does anything change regarding process to get in during extra, extra magic hours?

Hi Jana! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I love early morning reservations in the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks! It is a great way to enjoy a delicious meal without having to give up valuable time exploring the theme parks, and I love being able to take pictures without all the crowds.

In my experience, we are usually allowed in around 20-30 minutes prior to our dining reservation time. Each theme park has its own procedure with Extra Magic Hours and extra, Extra Magic Hours, but on my last visit to Magic Kingdom Park, there were three separate lines that formed to enter the theme parks: breakfast reservations, Extra Magic Hours, and general admission. Once we were in the theme park, breakfast reservations were directed one way with Extra Magic Hours in the opposite direction and there were checkpoints where breakfast reservations were being verified a second time and MagicBands were being checked for on-site Guests to enter for Extra Magic Hours.

When you arrive, you should find that there is a line just for Guests with breakfast reservations. They will verify your reservation and then you can enter and head straight to your dining location!

Enjoy your vacation, Jana! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
